The Takoma Park Recreation Department is planning an alternative event to the annual spring egg hunt and is looking for local businesses to help out. The department is sponsoring the Eggstravaganza event this year, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16 from noon to 3 p.m.

COVID-19 vaccination and testing have been added to this weekend’s Takoma Park Street Festival, city officials announced Monday.
The Takoma Park Police Department will mark National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Piney Branch Elementary School, 7510 Maple Ave., according to a community advisory.
