ALDI grand opening scheduled for end of the month

The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting at 7:50 a.m. Afterward, the first 100 customers will receive a Golden Ticket, each containing ALDI gift cards in various amounts. In addition, the company will distribute eco-friendly shopping bags and hold a sweepstakes drawing to win free produce for a year. County Council votes to approve $15 per hour minimum wage

The County Council voted unanimously to require all county employers to pay employees a minimum wage of $15 an hour by July 1, 2024. In addition, the bill requires that the minimum wage be adjusted annually for inflation according to the Consumer Price Index for urban wage earners and clerical workers, starting July 1, 2022.
