White Oak Town Center Adds First Watch

First Watch is set to open a new location at the upcoming White Oak Town Center development at 12345 Columbia Pike.

The breakfast and brunch restaurant will occupy a corner space, located across from a forthcoming grocery store anchor that is yet to be determined, possibly an Amazon Fresh market. First Watch will join the recently signed Dave’s Hot Chicken, as well as previously signed tenants including European Wax Center, Jersey Mike’s, Inspire Nail Bar, Starbucks, and Oak Barrel & Vine.

The new First Watch location, as reported by The MoCo Show, is set to introduce alcoholic beverages, following the lead of the other two Montgomery County branches. The first location opened in Rockville Town Square in 2007. Seven years later, in 2014, the restaurant established its second Montgomery County location at 802 Muddy Branch Rd. in Gaithersburg’s Muddy Branch Square, replacing the long-standing restaurant Fingers & Claws.

First Watch restaurants take their name from a nautical term for the first work shift on a ship. Operating only from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the inaugural location opened in Pacific Grove, California in 1983, founded by Ken Pendery and John Sullivan. The chain has since expanded to over 500 locations across 29 states and territories.
