Eat This, Not That: Charm Thai Is the Best Thai Restaurant in Maryland

The quality and diversity of the local restaurant scene continue to attract national and local media attention.

Last month, food & health website Eat This, Not That published a list of the best Thai restaurants in every state based on Yelp reviews:

We’ve created a round-up of positively reviewed Thai-focused restaurants in every state that you’ll want to visit at least once. Whether you’re craving some authentic Tom Yum soup or traditional pad thai, these restaurants will give you the sweet and spicy flavors of Thai food that are beloved by many. Here’s a list of the best Thai restaurants in every state.

The article listed Charm Thai in downtown Silver Spring as the best Thai restaurant in Maryland:

One Yelp reviewer calls Charm Thai the best Thai in Silver Spring. Now if that doesn’t speak volumes, the menu is loaded with authentic Thai cuisine from the crispy rice salad and crispy duck rolls to noodle lover soup and crab meat fried rice. Finish off the meal with a Thai-style fried banana for dessert. Open seven days a week.

According to the restaurant’s Yelp listing, Charm Thai’s most popular dishes include Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Panang Curry.

“Charm Thai has been my go-to takeout place for Thai as of lately,” Yelp reviewer Jasmine N. wrote in her October review. “I’ve never actually been in the restaurant and have only ordered delivery but they are always consistent. First, I love their dumplings! They have such a wonderful flavor! For [the] entree, I usually get the drunken noodles or the panang, which is the coconut curry. I also like the Pad See Ew. Their noodles are delicious and the coconut curry is so flavorful! My boyfriend always gets the spicy duck and has never been disappointed.”

Charm Thai is one of several Thai restaurants in downtown Silver Spring, including Amina Thai, Kao Thai, Kook Kai’s Thai Noodles, Lamoon Thai, and Thai at Silver Spring.
