Sweeteria Dessert Café, a coffee & dessert café from the owners of neighboring Kao Thai Restaurant, has soft-opened in the former location of Your Whole Body at 8646 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring.
The Thai street food-inspired café has soft-opened today, with a grand opening date to be determined, according to staff.
The menu, pictured below, features seasonal specials, including Thai Tea Toast with Coconut Ice Cream and a Strawberry Croissant with Fresh Strawberries and Cream, as well as savory items, such as roti. Salads, as well as sparkling and frozen drinks, round out the menu.
According to staff, they will also have barista-crafted coffee drinks, made with beans sourced from Rockville-based Mayorga Organics.
As mentioned in their soft opening announcement post on Facebook, their soft opening hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. They can also be contacted at (301) 328-5877, as well as on Instagram. Delivery is available via GrubHub and Uber Eats.
Sweeteria Dessert Café joins the neighborhood with Senegalese restaurant Koité Grill, which opened last month in the same block.
