New restaurant hiring in Downtown Silver Spring

A new restaurant taking the place of the shuttered AG Kitchen has begun hiring, according to fliers taped to the windows. AG Kitchen closed last year after a short run in Silver Spring. At the time, parent company The Restaurant Group said it would open a new concept in that space in 2017. County library system holds first comic convention

A steady stream of children, teens and adults visited the Silver Spring Library last Saturday afternoon as the county’s library system hosted its first comic convention, MoComCon. Exhibits, activities and events were held on three floors of the building, including game demonstrations, a virtual reality station, crafts, face painting, a room where gamers could play MInecraft and a selfie machine.
