Takoma Park police have arrested a Washington, D.C. man on charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, first-degree assault and other offenses, the department announced. Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue at about 9:24 a.m. on Dec. 1 for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.
Takoma Park police responded early this morning to the report of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue, according to an emailed community advisory. Around 3 a.m., four people entered the store; one was armed with a black handgun. One subject demanded cash from the register while the other three stole property from the store.
A Silver Spring man was sentenced to seven years and a day in federal prison in a case of armed robbery of a Takoma Park jewelry store in 2019. As part of a plea agreement, Ever Ramiro Torres Enriquez, age 25, will be under supervised release for three years following his prison term and was ordered to pay restitution of $174,967, the full amount of the victim’s loss.
Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged Ezekiel David Harris-Goff, age 18, in an armed robbery Dec. 1 in Ellsworth Place Mall. In addition, Harris-Goff, of an unconfirmed address, has been charged in an unrelated armed carjacking that took place Nov. 2 on 16th Street in Silver Spring.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District are investigating the armed robbery of a male that occurred in downtown Silver Spring. MCPD is releasing a video of the incident captured by the victim’s dashcam and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
County detectives with the Major Crimes Division are still investigating an attempted armed robbery of a food truck in downtown Silver Spring that took place in October. The police have now released surveillance video of the suspect in the incident, which took place at about 5:40 p.m. on Oct. 12.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division that are investigating a November 12 armed robbery of a Hillandale Metro by T-Mobile store have released surveillance video of the incident, and are asking anyone with information about this robbery or suspect to come forward to the MCPD.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are seeking public help to identify three suspects in an armed robbery in downtown Silver Spring. The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Aug. 27 in the 8800 block of Colesville Road. The victim, a 61-year-old man, reported that he was entering his apartment building when the suspects, one of whom had a handgun, approached him.
