Takoma Park Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Investigators from the Takoma Park Police Department are asking for the public’s help with identifying suspects in a January 30 armed robbery.

Officers responded to the 7300 block of Hilton Avenue for the report of an armed robbery of a resident on January 30 at approximately 4:10 pm, according to Takoma Park Police spokesperson Cathy Plevy. The victim was standing in the front of their residence when a gray Chevy vehicle pulled up and two young black males, approximately 14-15 years old, got out of the vehicle and brandished a handgun, and demanded property. The handgun is described as a small, black semi-automatic. The suspects stole the victim’s property and then fled in the vehicle.

Officers conducted a canvas of the area with negative results. The victim was not physically harmed in the incident, and a lookout for the suspects was provided to surrounding jurisdictions.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information about this incident, or knows the identities of the suspects, to contact the Takoma Park Police Department at (301) 270-1100 and refer to case #210003900.
