Three Suspects Sought in Takoma Park ATM Robbery

Police in Takoma Park need the public’s help to identify three suspects who committed an armed robbery at a Capital One Bank ATM on Friday evening.

Takoma Park Police were called to the 1100 block of University Blvd around 6:26 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29 for an armed robbery. According to police spokesperson Cathy Plevy, the victim was robbed at gunpoint at the Capital One Bank ATM by three suspects. Following the robbery, the three suspects fled southbound on New Hampshire Ave. in a small white SUV, possibly a Chevy Traverse.

The suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect 1: Black male, light-skinned, last seen wearing a ski mask and black hoodie sweatshirt, armed with a silver handgun.
  • Suspect 2: Black male, dark-skinned, last seen wearing all-black clothing with white sneakers.
  • Suspect 3: The driver of the vehicle is unknown.

Lookout information has been shared with all nearby jurisdictions, and the investigation is still in progress, Plevy said.
