The Takoma Flea has been rescheduled to May 21 due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, according to an email from Main Street Takoma.
“The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking good – especially for books, furniture, and records,” Laura Barclay of Main Street Takoma said in an email to the Source. “We have rescheduled Takoma Flea for Saturday, May 21, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Grant Avenue, Takoma Park. Come out then and check out our assortment of vintage, collectibles, antiques, and repurposed items. Make a plan to enjoy lunch on the block!”
The Takoma Porch Music Festival and the Takoma Park Book Sale, also scheduled for Saturday, will go on as planned. Additionally, the Takoma Children’s Business Fair will relocate to the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church Gym, 310 Tulip Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Village of Takoma Park Spring Fling at the Takoma Park VFW has been postponed to a new date to be determined.
