Takoma Park police have arrested a Washington, D.C. man on charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, first-degree assault and other offenses, the department announced. Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue at about 9:24 a.m. on Dec. 1 for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.
Officers from the Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District have charged 55-year-old Wayne Riley, of Washington, D.C., with the attempted second-degree murder of the owner and a customer of a Silver Spring 7-Eleven convenience store, according to an MCPD press release.
The Montgomery County police have announced the arrests of three suspects in a Jan. 5 shooting on Ellsworth Drive, one adult and two juveniles, all from Washington, D.C.
