Hug Lounge is now open at 949 Bonifant St., the former location of Pennyworth Thrift Shop, according to the company’s website. The menu largely consists of Ethiopian cuisine, with breakfast offered along with smoothies and several fish dishes.
The reopening of Kaldi’s Social House appears to have been pushed to April 30, according to a revised post on their social media profiles.
Kaldi’s Social House has been featured in Sprudge, an international publication that covers the coffee industry.

Beteseb Restaurant in downtown Silver Spring was listed as a favorite.
It’s no secret that Silver Spring is home to a large Ethiopian population and many Ethiopian restaurants. But now, one downtown Silver Spring restaurant is one of the best — at least according to Eater D.C.
Kitfo is fairly common among the many Ethiopian restaurants in Silver Spring — but a Kitfo Sandwich? Not so much, unless you visit Langano Restaurant or Lemon Slice Café.
Abol Ethiopian Restaurant closed last week after an unsuccessful attempt to rebrand the location, then returning to the original concept. The location at 8626 Colesville Rd. was rebranded as Blu Nile Restaurant and Lounge with a launch shortly before the holidays.
