Police: $10,000 Reward Offered for June Block Party Shooting Suspects

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals involved in a shooting at a block party in White Oak last June, which left a 16-year-old girl injured.

During the investigation, detectives found that a group of people were at a block party on Stewart Lane in White Oak when a dark-colored sedan, possibly with three to four people inside, pulled up and began shooting into the crowd. Aside from a teenage girl, no one else was injured. The bullets hit three cars parked at an apartment building.

The crime scene yielded over 30 shell casings from a handgun and a high-powered rifle, MCPD said in a press release. No suspects have been apprehended at this time. Detectives are asking anyone who was at the party and may have cell phone video to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at (240) 773-6870.
