Casseroles for a Cause Returns to Benefit Shepherd’s Table

Casseroles for a Cause, a food collection event organized by Silver Spring Cares, returns for the twelfth time to stock freezers with meals for partner organizations serving food-insecure residents.

Shepherd’s Table, a downtown Silver Spring-based nonprofit, will benefit from the event, which began September 13 and runs through October 4.

Upon registration, volunteers will receive an email confirmation with instructions, pro tips, and recipe suggestions. Volunteers may schedule a pickup during the event once the casseroles have been made. Those within 15 minutes of downtown Silver Spring can schedule a pickup. Volunteers who are further away but have at least 10 casseroles to donate can also arrange pickups.

Volunteer signup and more information are available at the Silver Spring Cares website.
