Three Silver Spring Restaurants Participating in Summer Restaurant Week

More than 150 restaurants will participate in the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington’s Summer Restaurant Week, offering $25 set lunch/brunch and $40/$55 dinner menus.

Three Silver Spring restaurants — J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse and Matchbox in downtown Silver Spring, as well as The Daily Dish — are participating in this year’s edition, which runs from August 28 through September 3.

The $40 3-course dinner menu at J. Hollinger’s features starters like corn chowder made with fresh local corn, mixed peppers, candy onions, new potatoes and fresh herbs, and mains like Blackened Faroe Island Salmon with summer succotash and citrus beurre blanc, Rohan Duck Confit with sweet potato puree, petit salad, toasted almonds, pine nuts, summer berries, and a port-rosemary reduction, and Grilled Flat Iron Steak with whipped potatoes and grilled summer vegetables.

There will also be a $25 three-course lunch menu available at J. Hollinger’s in honor of Restaurant Week, according to a press release.

Matchbox will offer a $25 two-course lunch menu and a $40 three-course dinner menu with an optional $25 three-course wine pairing, and The Daily Dish will offer a $40 dinner menu (lunch to be determined).

The full lineup of participating restaurants and menus can be found on RAMW’s Restaurant Week website.
