Police Investigating Vandalism in Downtown Silver Spring

Detectives from the county’s 3rd District Patrol Investigative Unit are investigating two vandalisms that occurred on October 12 and 13 at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring. Police have released surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

“On October 13, at approximately 12:17 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to 1 Veterans Pl. for the report of a vandalism that occurred earlier,” reads an MCPD news release. “The investigation by detectives determined that the suspects spray painted graffiti on a pillar of Veterans Plaza on October 12 and 13. The graffiti do not appear to be gang related.

“Detectives believe that these two suspects may have committed additional vandalisms in downtown Silver Spring.

“Anyone with information regarding these vandalisms or the suspects involved is asked to call the 3rd District Patrol Investigative Unit at 240-773-6830.”
