Yin Yoga is a slow, deep and calming practice. All poses focus on stretching the connective tissue (fascia, tendons, and ligaments). All poses have longer holds to effect the connective tissue of the hips, thighs, back, neck and shoulders. This class will calm and balance your body and mind, increase mobility and flexibility, lower stress levels and promote relaxation. It may help those coping with anxiety, migraines and muscle fatigue as well. Restorative Yin is a great complement to yang classes like Power Flow and Hot Flow and will vastly improve your ability and comfort to sit for meditation.
