Yoga Heights’ “no barre, barre” class combines elements of ballet-barre, strength training, Pilates, and yoga to provide a full-body work out experience. Set to an exciting and motivating playlist. No barre, barre class focuses on small muscle groups. The class starts with a plank-intensive warm up followed by a series of upper-body exercises that use a combination of weights and no weights to target biceps, triceps, chest, and back muscles. We will use the wall and floor in combination with props (such as blocks and bands) and your own body weights for resistance to focus on the thigh and glute muscles. We close out class with a series of core-intensive exercises that target upper, lower and obliques. Stretching and lengthening exercises are incorporated throughout to facilitate muscle recovery and flexibility. Bring your mat, water and your appetite for trying something new!
