Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza will close the Silver Spring location on Wayne Avenue after Sept 29, according to two staff members who couldn’t comment further.

The Source was referred to the owner, who was not available today.

Pete’s opened its original location in 2008 in Columbia Heights; the original location closed earlier this year to make way for a Wawa convenience store.

The pizzeria currently operates restaurants in Clarendon and Friendship Heights, where the business office also is located.
