Hen Quarter, the Southern-themed restaurant and bourbon bar on Ellsworth Drive, held its ribbon cutting and grand opening last night. The menu includes updated Southern fare including Southern-fried chicken, Virginia ham steaks, shrimp and grits, short ribs and barbecued chicken, along with accompaniments such as collard greens, pickled okra and fried green tomatoes. Thunderbolts baseball prepping for 18th season

The Tbolts, who compete in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, play their home games at Montgomery Blair High School. The first home game is June 9.
