Seoul Food D.C. will move to 7302 Carroll Ave. in Takoma Park, the former location of MAD Fitness, according to an announcement from the Old Takoma Business Association.

The restaurant currently operates in an Exxon station on University Boulevard in Wheaton. The business, owned and operated by Anna and J.P. Goree, started as a food truck in Washington D.C. and Arlington, Va. in August, 2011 and opened its current location in June, 2013.

The menu features Korean and Japanese dishes along with Asian fusion options, including vegetarian and vegan choices, using locally sourced, seasonal, and organic ingredients.

In its new location, Seoul Food D.C. plans to offer beer and wine.

Construction has begun on the restaurant, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.
