Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery at Takoma Park 7-Eleven

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning at a 7-Eleven store in Takoma Park.

Officers responded at approximately 1:44 a.m. on Wednesday to the 7-Eleven store in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive for a report of an armed robbery that had taken place earlier, according to Takoma Park Police spokesperson Cathy Plevy. Upon entering the 7-Eleven, the suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded cash. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot from the store towards Carroll Ave.

Plevy described the suspect as a Black male who was last seen wearing a black face mask, gloves, a black hooded sweater, blue jeans, and tan Timberland-style boots.

Takoma Park Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, to contact them at (301) 270-1100.
