Police: Burglary Led to Fight Between Suspect and Victim

Takoma Park Police say that a residential burglary led to a fight between the suspect and victim Monday morning.

According to police spokesperson Cathy Plevy, officers responded at approximately 7:23 a.m. on Monday in response to a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 6600 block of Gude Ave. The suspect, a male in his 20s, climbed through a window on the ground floor. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Plevy said.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s who was last seen wearing a puffy light blue jacket, black pants, and a backpack.
