Police Investigating Three Airbag Thefts in Takoma Park

Three airbag theft incidents have been reported in recent days, according to community advisory emails from Takoma Park Police.

On Wednesday, Feb. 22, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of theft of an airbag in the unit block of Lee Ave. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle by unknown means and stole the airbag. Case #230008840.

Police reported the theft of two airbags on Tuesday, Feb. 21:

At an unknown time in the 6800 block of Eastern Ave., unknown suspects entered the victim’s vehicle (2021 Honda Accord) by breaking the front driver’s side window and stole the steering wheel airbag. Case #230008688.

Unknown suspect(s) broke the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle (2020 Honda Accord) in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Ave. at an unknown time and stole the steering wheel airbag. Case #23000698.
