Takoma Park Police say that they are investigating an attempted auto theft that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Ave. for a report of an attempted auto theft, according to police spokesperson Cathy Plevy. The suspect(s) attempted to steal a vehicle and crashed it into a building wall. The suspect(s) fled on foot prior to police arrival.
