Takoma Park Spa Plans to Diversify into Food Truck Business

The Still Point Spa, a long-time Takoma Park business, will diversify into the food truck business, according to an announcement from Main Street Takoma.

The spa plans to launch The Green Rooster food truck in mid-July. It will be parked at the spa’s address, 6 Grant Ave., and will focus on offering clients and the community a variety of “plant-based nutritious food that is both delicious and deeply healing to complement both the spa and other neighborhood offerings,” according to the announcement.

The truck will feature “superfood smoothies and bowls, salads, ’moles (think: a twist on guacamole), medicinal elixirs, hot and cold froths, and more are on our evolving healthy menu,” as described on The Green Rooster website.

The company also is working with local purveyors of vegetables, microgreens, granola, juice, tea, and more to source as locally as possible and support entrepreneurs in the community.

In addition, The Green Rooster is looking to hire a fulltime, salaried general manager for the food truck, which plans to be open from late breakfast to mid-afternoon each day.

More information and an application are available on The Green Rooster website.
