TPSS Co-op to Reopen Monday

The Takoma Park-Silver Spring Co-op will reopen at 2 p.m. today, according to a statement on the Co-op’s website. The Co-op closed on New Year’s Eve after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

“Thank you for your patience and support as we ready the store and staff to reopen,” the statement reads. “We anticipate being ready to open in full Monday January 4th from 2pm to 9pm. Ensuring the safety of our staff and customers remains our number one priority. Our safety protocols including limited entry, strict masking and hand sanitation have helped us maintain that safety first mindset while still supporting our community’s food needs.

“We appreciate all the well wishes sent along to staff the past few days, they are heartfelt and gratefully received. Watch your email in the coming week as exciting changes to strengthen our online ordering system are coming shortly, to help give as many safe shopping options as possible. We are all in this together, and we must all do our part to keep each other safe and healthy.”
