Police Investigating Shooting in Takoma Park

Takoma Park police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 8 p.m. last night in the 8300 block of Flower Avenue, according to the department’s Twitter feed, @TakomaPark PD.

A female victim was taken to a local hospital and was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim met the suspect via a social media app, according to the department, and was shot following an altercation.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium complexion and a thin build, short hair, about 5’5”-5’7” and wearing glasses.

He was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark blue shorts, and was armed with a black and silver handgun, police said.
