Metro to Perform Structural Repairs

Metro announced this week that it will perform structural repair work between the Silver Spring and Forest Glen Metrorail stations, as well as replace drainage pumping stations and discharge line piping at the Wheaton station, as the agency looks to complete its Platform Improvement Project this year.

Police Seek Help Locating Silver Spring Woman Missing Since Friday (Update: Located)

Detectives from the county’s police department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Silver Spring woman who has been missing since Friday afternoon. Mingling Chen, age 78, was last seen leaving the 1500 block of Forest Glen Road on the afternoon of Friday, October 8, and may be in the Rockville area, trying to get into D.C.
