HSBC Bank Signs First Commercial Lease for Solaire 8250 Georgia

The first lease for a commercial tenant at Solaire 8250 Georgia has been signed with HSBC Bank USA, according to Charles Nulsen III, president of the project’s developer, Washington Property Co.

“We do have HSBC opening up a branch on the Georgia Avenue corner of Bonifant,” he said, noting the bank will occupy about 2,000 square feet as an anchor tenant.

Other leasing efforts are underway as well, Nulsen added.

“We are focusing on local restaurants and entrepreneurially owned restaurants for the balance of the building, as well as other businesses,” he said.

“We’ve finally gotten some good traction,” Nulsen continued. “We don’t have any leases signed in that, but we do have some letters of intent and we’re putting together a good tenant mix of local entrepreneurs to be running their businesses in the building.”

In the meantime, the company will be doing a build-out for the bank and expects that the branch will open in early fall.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited was the founding member of HBSC, which was started in Hong Kong in 1865, and gave the company the initials it’s known by today. The company currently serves more than 39 million retail, wealth management and corporate customers in 66 nations and territories.
