Downtown Silver Spring Adds More Deals During Metro Red Line Shutdown

The exclusive deals offered in Downtown Silver Spring during Metro’s Red Line closures have been expanded to include more retailers and restaurants.

Additional deals will be added periodically to the discount program launched earlier this summer.

Customers can show their SmarTrip card or mobile app and receive a wide array of exclusive discounts from shops and restaurants like Matchbox, Kusshi Sushi, Dog Haus, LebTav, MyEyeDr., Maryland Youth Ballet, Silver Spring Ace Hardware, and more. Shoppers can also enter to win a $100 gift card to their choice of Downtown Silver Spring retailers Nike Unite, H&M, LOFT, or Uniqlo by texting “SMART” to (301) 750-1287.

Fairfax, Va.-based Peterson Companies manages and leases the Downtown Silver Spring development, which features an eclectic mix of popular retailers, restaurants, and amenities, including Regal Majestic Stadium 20/IMAX Theaters, Ulta Beauty, and more. According to regional marketing director Laurie Yankowski, new retailers include Fantasticks Gelato, which opened in July, and Gold’s GymChido’s Tex-Mex Grill, and RAMMY Award nominee Roaming Rooster, which are currently slated to open in the fall.

“The property is buzzing with farmers and artisan markets, community fitness classes and live music; the Metro Shutdown Deals further encourage the community to shop, dine and enjoy the entertainment this summer at Downtown Silver Spring,” Yankowski said. “It’s the perfect location for back-to-school shopping or to just take advantage of the many deals available.”

More information about the summer SmarTrip deals is available on the Downtown Silver Spring website.
