Montgomery County Police seek the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in an armed robbery on February 18 in the 900 block of Silver Spring Ave. in downtown Silver Spring.
According to an MCPD press release, detectives found that around midnight on February 18, an adult male victim was walking near the intersection of Silver Spring Ave. and Mayor Lane when two unidentified suspects approached him. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s belongings, to which the victim complied (video below).
The suspects fled the scene in a black SUV with tinted windows, driven by a third suspect, taking the victim’s possessions, MCPD said.
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by Crime Solvers of Montgomery County for any information leading to an arrest in this case. Anonymous tips can be reported to Crime Solvers by calling (866) 411-TIPS (8477), submitting information online, or using the P3 Tips app.
