$10,000 Reward Offered for 7-Eleven Robbery Suspect

Montgomery County Police seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect captured on surveillance video during a robbery at a 7-Eleven in downtown Silver Spring last month.

According to a press release from the MCPD, officers from the 3rd District were called to the 7-Eleven in the 8400 block of Georgia Ave. at around 6:15 a.m. on November 11th. Detectives investigating the incident found that at approximately 5:45 a.m., a man entered the store to make a purchase. The suspect then approached the victim, asking for a cigarette. When the victim said he didn’t have one, the suspect assaulted him, took his wallet from his pocket, and walked away.

The store surveillance video was reviewed by detectives, who described the suspect as a Black male, about 6 feet tall, with a muscular build. At the time of the robbery, he was carrying a black sling bag and wearing a black winter hat, a green sweatshirt, black jeans, and black shoes.
