TCBY will be opening a store in the former home of Smoothie King at 8563 Fenton St. in downtown Silver Spring.

The Country’s Best Yogurt was founded in Little Rock, Ark. in 1981, and now has over 350 locations nationwide. TCBY was acquired by Mrs. Fields in early 2000 and became Mrs. Fields Famous Brands. In 2012, the combined company relocated its headquarters to Broomfield, Colorado.
Smoothie King closed last year after eviction filings claimed the tenants had not paid rent from October 2021 to March 2022, a total of $23,500.
