Fire Officials: Two Seriously Injured in Fire at the Enclave Silver Spring Apartment Complex

The 20-story Enclave Silver Spring apartment complex was the scene of a fire that caused serious injuries to two people Sunday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer.

MCFRS crews responded at approximately 6:30 a.m. Sunday to the Enclave Silver Spring apartments in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive for a report of a fire. Firefighters rescued two adults from an apartment on the nineteenth floor, both with life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were transported to a hospital with priority 1 trauma, Piringer said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
