Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery of CVS Pharmacy in Downtown Silver Spring

A CVS Pharmacy store manager was stabbed in an armed robbery that occurred Saturday evening in downtown Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police.

Officers responded at approximately 7:09 p.m. on Saturday to a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy at 1290 East-West Highway, according to police spokesperson Shiera D. Goff. A male suspect displayed a knife and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash from a store employee. 

A manager reportedly chased the suspect as he attempted to leave the store and received a superficial stab wound as a result.

The county’s Fire and Rescue Service treated the victim on the scene. There are no life-threatening injuries to the victim, and no suspect is in custody, Goff said.
