One person was injured after a driver crashed a car into the MyEyeDr. eyeglass store in Downtown Silver Spring Sunday morning, according to Montgomery Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer.

Around 10:00 a.m. Sunday, county firefighters responded to a report of a car striking a building at the MyEyeDr. store in the 8600 block of Georgia Ave. A person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Piringer said.

An investigation is underway to determine whether the injured individual was in the vehicle or in the store at the time of the accident.
