Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery of Exxon Gas Station

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect caught on surveillance video during an April 5 armed robbery of the Exxon gas station in the 9300 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring.

Officers from the Third District responded at approximately 7:37 a.m. on April 5 to the Exxon gas station in the 9300 block of Georgia Ave., MCPD said in a news release. According to the victim, at approximately 6:42 a.m., a Black male wearing a black North Face jacket with the hood up, a black ski mask, black sunglasses, blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes entered the store.

After locking the front door and removing a handgun from his jacket, the suspect approached the clerk and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled the store on Columbia Blvd. toward 16th Street.

Police say the suspect is approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 180 pounds, and has a thin build.
