German-based streetwear retailer SNIPES has opened a location at the Briggs Chaney Marketplace at 13834 Outlet Dr., according to a report from The MoCo Show.
The Outlet Dr. location is the company’s second location in Montgomery County. SNIPES acquired Kicks USA and its 60+ locations — including Westfield Montgomery Mall — in 2019, with the company converting all of the stores to SNIPES shortly thereafter.
SNIPES, whose founder Sven Voth opened its first store in Essen, Germany in 1998, has been part of the Deichmann Group since 2011. “Expanding into the United States fulfills a lifelong dream of mine to start a business here,” Voth said in a 2019 interview. “For me it was just a matter of time, and the moment was right.”
The company also owns the Mr. Alan’s, Jimmy Jazz and Expressions brands, some of which have been converted to SNIPES. Currently, SNIPES operates over 300 stores across the U.S.
The SNIPES concept store ‘We The Best’, created in collaboration with DJ Khaled, is scheduled to open in Miami soon.
