UPDATED: County SVID Detectives Ask for Help Locating Missing Silver Spring Teen

UPDATE: Montgomery County Police tweeted that Samar Hammad has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the county’s Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl from Silver Spring. 

Samar Hammad was last seen on Sunday, Dec. 18 at approximately 3 p.m., at her residence on Fairland Road. 

“Hammad is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair,” according to a press release. “Police and family are concerned for her welfare.”

Anyone with information about Hammad’s location should call the 24-hour police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 or the SVID at 240.773.5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
