UPDATED: SVID Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Locate Silver Spring Teen

UPDATE: Montgomery County Police tweeted that Jennifer Barcenas has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the county’s Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 17-year-old girl from Silver Spring.

Jennifer Barcenas was last seen on Thursday, Dec. 1 at approximately 2 p.m. in the 1600 block of Northcrest Dr. 

“Barcenas is approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighs 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black leggings, and UGG slippers,” according to a press release. “Police and family are concerned for her welfare.”

Anyone with information about Barcenas’ whereabouts should call the police 24-hour, non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 or the SVID at 240.773.5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
