Crane Operator Injured in 30-Foot Fall at Silver Place

A crane operator and another construction worker were injured Monday afternoon at the site of Silver Place in downtown Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer.

At approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, MCFRS transported two construction workers to a hospital after one fell approximately 30 feet at the site of the mixed-use Silver Place development at 8787 Georgia Ave.

The state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MOSHA) was notified of the incident, Piringer said.
