Bowie Man Arrested for Attempted Carjacking

Montgomery County Police say that they have arrested and charged 26-year-old Louis Katty Telliano, of Bowie, for an attempted carjacking that occurred June 7 at a Shell/Dash In gas station in the 11000 block of New Hampshire Ave.

“At approximately 10:49 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Shell/Dash In gas station in the 11100 block of New Hampshire Ave. for an attempted carjacking call,” MCPD said in a news release. “The investigation by detectives determined that the adult male victim was pumping gas when the unknown suspect entered the front passenger seat of the car and began searching for property. The suspect then exited the car and began to beat the victim, and knocked him to the ground multiple times. He then demanded the victim’s car keys and ran away. The victim was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

“Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Telliano as the suspect. Telliano was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit (CPU) where he has been charged with carjacking. He is currently being held without bond.”
