UPDATED: Concern for Missing 12-Year-Old Silver Spring Girl

UPDATE 4/14/2022 3:00 p.m.  — Montgomery County Police tweeted that Andrea Listte Ucles-Mendez has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the county’s Special Victims Investigation Division (SVID) ask for the public’s help locating a missing 12-year-old girl from Silver Spring.

“Andrea Listte Ucles-Mendez, age 12, was last seen Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., leaving her residence in the 2100 block of Dexter Avenue,” reads an MCPD news release. “Ucles-Mendez is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with the word “One Direction” on the front, blue and black leggings with a white stripe down the side and black Nike shoes. She also wears glasses.

“Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Andrea Listte Ucles-Mendez is asked to call the Montgomery County Police SVID at (240) 773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line). Callers may remain anonymous.”
