Montgomery County Police say they have arrested and charged 23-year-old Ahyende Harold Gray with the January 14 robbery at the Capital One Bank in downtown Silver Spring.
“On January 14, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Gray entered the Capital One Bank in the 8300 block of Georgia Avenue, with one hand behind his back as if he possessed a weapon, and made statements to customers indicative of a robbery,” reads an MCPD news release. “Gray fled the scene without obtaining any property.
“Officers from the 3rd District located Gray near the Capital One Bank and he was arrested without incident. Gray was charged with robbery and armed robbery. He was transported to the Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
“This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding this suspect or who witnessed the crime is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.”
