The Breakfast Club to Open at Fenton Silver Spring

Local restaurateur Jason Miskiri will open The Breakfast Club this spring at the Fenton Silver Spring apartments, located at 8240 Fenton St. in downtown Silver Spring.

The restaurant will be adjacent to the incoming Black Lion Café, a Rockville-based coffee shop and roaster, which is also opening at Fenton Silver Spring.

The restaurant, named in honor of Miskiri’s late father whom his family called Papa Sherman, will have “breakfast all day with lunch and dinner items” instead of a rumored vegan concept, Miskiri said in a message to the Source. “I waved the vegan concept to another time.”

The Breakfast Club is slated for an early March opening, and the cuisine will be “Southern American with a twist of Caribbean,” Miskiri said.

The restaurant’s website isn’t yet live, but will be located at thebreakfastclubdmv.com.

Miskiri opened The Angry Jerk last summer on Georgia Ave. in downtown Silver Spring. He opened Society Restaurant & Lounge in 2012, which he co-owns with his sister, Samantha Khamis-el-Miskiri, according to Bethesda Magazine.
