CREATE Arts Center Accepting Submissions for Its First Juried Show

CREATE Arts Center is accepting artists’ submissions of works for the organization’s first juried art show, the group announced today.

Artists from around the region can submit up to three images of original two- or three-dimensional art in any medium except video or film.

Imagery and/or content should be appropriate for a mixed audience of 10 years old and up, or the entry will not be submitted for judging.

Jeffry Cudlin, professor of curatorial practice at Maryland Institute College of Art, wil serve as the juror for this exhibition.

Selected artworks will be on display for two months in the center’s Tamar Hendel Gallery at 914 Silver Spring Ave. The gallery is currently closed and the exhibit will open in the spring.

All submissions will be featured in an online exhibition on the CREATE website.

Works may be submitted online. There is a $25 submission fee, which can be paid online, by phone or by a check.

More information, including guidelines for submission, is online.
