Montgomery County Police and Hyundai Team Up for Free Anti-Theft Software Event

Montgomery County Police and Hyundai have partnered to host a three-day event to provide free anti-theft software upgrades to owners and lessees of 2011-2021 Hyundai vehicles.

The free anti-theft software update will be held on Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters, located at 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg.

Hyundai representatives will also be present on Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This software upgrade event aims to equip eligible Hyundai vehicles with anti-theft software designed to protect against the theft mode popularized on social media. The upgrade will be free; all Hyundai owners visiting will receive a complimentary steering wheel lock.
