Montgomery Parks Launches Virtual Winter Bingo

Montgomery Parks has launched a program to encourage residents to participate in outdoor activities this winter.

Virtual Winter Bingo is a downloadable bingo card with 24 different activities. Participants can complete five different squares in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row to collect bingo.

There is one card for January and there will be another for February activities. January activities include hiking, plogging (picking up litter while jogging), locating natural elements, art, historic features and park facilities.

Participants can submit photos of each completed activity and be entered into a drawing. Three winners will be chosen each month to receive a $50 credit to use for Montgomery Parks’ classes, programs or facility rentals.

“We wanted to provide a safe, outdoor activity that people can do on their own, with family, or in a small group of friends this winter,” Kirsten Hein, parks activation manager, said in a press release. “We hope Virtual Bingo will allow people to explore unique locations that make Montgomery Parks special, and to discover how much the parks have to offer—even in the colder months!”
