Detectives from the county’s Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday evening in the 1500 block of November Circle in White Oak.
“At approximately 9:17 p.m., Sunday evening, 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting that just occurred,” reads an MCPD news release. “Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male, suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
“The victim was identified as Jerome Antoine Durant, age 40, of Silver Spring. This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.
“The department urges anyone who has information about this homicide to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.”
